The house between the sea and the volcano

“The island is Teacher, whoever does not love one is destined to get lost at night without a light”

Erri De Luca, “L’isola è una conchiglia” (“The island is a shell”)

The studio is flooded with light, looking south towards the sea.

Access is through the garden, on the mountain-facing side, the mountain in whose lap the house seems to rest.

The wind and the swallows play by crossing through it as if it were a magical passage between the sea and the volcano.
Here is preserved the flavor of the original Aeolian dwellings, with restored old doors, marble kitchen counters and a small bathroom created within the house’s bread oven.

The ground floor living area is equipped with a single sofa bed with a second pull-out single bed.
The sleeping loft, with a double bed, has a large window which gives access to a roof terrace with a breathtaking view.
